“RÖD” was released on September 7, 2018. Album was recorded by “Alberto Pinton Trio”. The trio is formed by Alberto Pinton (baritone & alto saxophones, clarinet & bass clarinet), Vilhelm Bromander (bass) and Konrad Agnas (drums). Emotional, bright, expressive, moving and attractive – that’s how we could describe the music played by this trio. All three musicians are individual, creative and interesting players – their music is filled with innovative musical decisions, bright and extraordinary musical language, rich, passionate and many-layed musical pattern and huge variety of weird, strange and unusual timbres. The musicians have cordial, hot, thrilling and expressive playing manner – their improvisations usually are based on active and moving mood, remarkable and memorable melodies, bright, spontaneous and luminous solos, wild, free and thrilling solos and many other similar elements. Musicians are trying out new and fresh methods of instrumentation. They like to experiment in search of strange sounds, innovative and specific playing techniques and all other and unusual kinds of musical language elements. The music by this trio is sparkling, dizzy, gorgeous and bright – it always has unpredictable and dynamic sound.
“RÖD” has moving, rapid, dynamic and energetic sound. The music is totally based on free improvisations and avant-garde jazz. The traditions of the European and American avant-garde jazz meet with the newest tendencies of Scandinavian experimental jazz. Effective and pleasant combination between many different traditions, styles, playing techniques, manners and other elements makes an effort to whole sound of the album. Musicians are exploring new fields of sounds – they are also searching for fresh and extraordinary sounds and making vivacious, bright, fresh and brave musical decisions. Each of them is improvising marvelously – has exceptional and original playing style, spontaneous, moving, attractive and aggressive playing manner and unique sound. The music is filled with sudden moves, dynamic turns and dozens of pleasant surprises. Though the compositions are based on free jazz and main tendencies of experimental jazz, music also has the influenze of other jazz styles. Modern jazz styles make an effort to whole sound of the album – drastic stylistic changes, bordering dynamics, free structure and open form gently illustrates the most important element of bebop: complicated, provovatice, sharp, bright and moving rhythmic. Touching, noisy, harsh and furiously fast rhythmic improvisations, wild fast passages and other virtuosic elements make a strong relation with bebop, post bop, hard bop and other modern jazz styles. The music is always in change – each episode brings new form, color, shape and character to the sound. From the depressive, abandoned, harsh and gloomy solos musicians go straight to dramatic, aggressive, passionate, roaring, terrific and moving collective improvisations. Extremely loud, wild and spontaneous solos are exceptionally bright, gorgeous, suggestive and interesting -it’s make colorful, dynamic and conceptual sound. Though roaring bursts of energy, vibrant and thrilling blow outs, moody, active and rapid solos, expressive, remarkable and passionate melodies and huge variety of unusual sounds contain the main musical pattern, it’s not the only one musical language element, which is the most important. Musicians like spontaneous and unpredictable changes – they like tto fuse together aggressive, rapid, passionate and expressive melodies with subtle, relaxing, specific and suggestive free improvisations. This music is based on absolutely different musical language elements – subtle strucutre, separate and short rhythmic and melodic elements, the intonations of progressive, contemporary and even mild elements of traditional jazz styles make the basis of these episodes. Musicians are making a huge effort to express wide range of different expressions and moods. That’s why their music is so emotional,suggestive and dynamic – from the solemn, soft, relaxing and silent consomnations is goes to shrieky, aggressive, sharp, harsh, roaring and turbulent improvisations. Innovative musical language, experimental and fascinating instrumentation, wide scale of musical expressions, dynamics, rhythms and styles forms bright, energetic, roaring and inspiring energy explosions. Light, passionate and expressive reeds solos, touching and moving double bass melodies, dynamic and terrific rhythmic section, dozens of special effects, unusual timbres and astonishing musical experiments, silent pauses and extremely loud bursts of energy – all these and many other elements create extraordinary, suggestive and bright sound of the album.
